STARKVILLE, M.S. — Jackson State women's basketball (2-6) fell to the Trojans of Troy in the final game of the Mississippi State Classic on Monday.
The Lady Tigers started off slow, but gained momentum heading into the half by chipping away at an 18-point deficit. In the third quarter, Jackson State was able to tie the game back up with the help of seven clutch points by Ameshya Williams-Holliday, but Troy extended their lead in the fourth and the game ended with a final score of 99-82.
Dayzsha Rogan had her second-straight game in which she scored more than 20-points in the outing, finishing with 23 and going 9-17 shooting from the field with two buckets. She also converted three shots at the charity stripe. Rogan also recorded five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.
Three other Lady Tigers finished with double-figures in the Monday afternoon game as well. Ameysha Wiliams-Holliday recorded 17 points and rebounds each, with five blocks. Keshuna Luckett had 13 points with three three-pointers. Miya Crump finished with 12 points, and was a perfect 4-4 at the free throw line.

Jackson State's next outing will be on January 3 when they open up the SWAC season at home against Alcorn State.
