JACKSON, Miss. The Jackson State Lady Tigers volleyball team improved to 4-0 in SWAC play with a sweep of Texas Southern on Tuesday afternoon.
JSU took the first two sets by scores of 25-19 before winning the third and final set 25-16.
Jylen Whitten led JSU with 14 kills and 16 total points.
Alexis Williams had nine kills and eight digs.
Alana Washington tallied 10 digs while
Damassy Thompson had 14 total assists for the game. Dekyra Dennis finished the contest with 11 assists and seven digs.
JSU moves to 4-0 overall and 4-0 in conference play with the win. The Blue and White return to the court on Thursday versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The two teams are set for begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center.
