JACKSON, Miss. - The Jackson State Lady Tigers volleyball program took down Arkansas-Pine Bluff in four sets Thursday night in SWAC play, to win the teams fifth consecutive contest on the year.
JSU fell in set one 25-16 before taking sets two and three by a score of 25-20. The Lady Tigers earned a close set four win 25-23, to take the overall victory by a final of 3-1.
Freshman,
Alexis Williams, notched a game high 20 kills on the evening with seven digs. Camrey Dabney and
Marina Bianchi Brito had eight kills.
Damassy Thompson totaled 21 assists and 14 digs while
Alana Washington had 14 digs.
Carin Bridges finished with 10 digs on the night.Â
With the win, JSU improves to 5-0 on the season. The Blue and White return to the court on Tuesday, March 2, at Mississippi Valley State at 6 p.m.Â
