Box Score JACKSON, Miss. – Jackson State defeated Alabama A&M 6-2 Sunday afternoon in Southwestern Athletic Conference action and improved o 14-6 overall and 9-0 in the conference.
 
The Tigers received a standout performance from Nikelle Galatas. The junior tossed 7 1/3 innings and scattered four hits, allowed two runs and walked five batters while striking out nine batters.
 
Chandler Dillard batted 2-for-4 with an RBI and scored one run.
 
Chenar Brown, Wesley Reyes, and Chevy Dorris each added an RBI.
 
Equon Smith, Dillard, and Brown each recorded a stolen base.
 
The Tigers return to the diamond Tuesday at Tulane and begin a three-game SWAC series Thursday at Mississippi Valley State.
