Pine Bluff, Ark. - The Jackson State Lady Tigers softball squad fell to Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Monday by a final score of 10-2 in game one of the three game series. 

UAPB got rolling early with eight runs scored in the second inning before JSU put two runs across the board in the third and fourth inning to cut the Golden Lions lead to 8-1.

UAPB went on to add two more runs in the sixth inning and held the Lady Tigers to just two runs total for the afternoon as Jackson State fell by a final score of 10-2.

JSU put together six hits as a team with Alexis Arredondo and Isis Taylor each leading the way with two hits apiece. Taylor and Monica Serrano each tallied a run batted in, accounting for JSU's only RBI's on the afternoon. 

The Lady Tigers return to the diamond tomorrow for a double-header beginning at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. at the Torii Hunter Softball Complex on the campus of UAPB.
