Tulane Edges Jackson State, 10-7

Box Score NEW ORLEANS, La. – Tulane edged Jackson State 10-7 Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
 
Batting fifth in the lineup, freshman Chenar Brown finished 3-for-4 with two RBI and scored three runs. Batting right behind Brown was sophomore Ty Hill and the Saltillo, Mississippi went 3-for-5 with a pair of RBI and scored one run.
 
Chandler Dillard and CJ Newsome also added RBIs.
 
Jatavious Melton and Chevy Dorris each collected a hit.
 
Harry Colon started and was credited with the loss. Colon tossed 1 1/3 innings and allowed five hits, five runs, and a pair of walks.
 
JSU returns to action Thursday for the first of three games at SWAC rival Mississippi Valley State.
