Jackson State Baseball Secures SWAC East Division Championship

JACKSON, Miss. – The Jackson State baseball team, which is in the midst of its best start within SWAC play in its storied history, have clinched the SWAC East Division Championship and is the overall No.1 seed in the SWAC Baseball Tournament that's set for later this month in Huntsville, Alabama.
 
It's been a record-breaking season for the Tigers.
 
The Tigers are 21-0 in SWAC play and that marks the best start in conference history.
 
JSU leads the nation and conference in several statistical categories. The Tigers have stolen 104 bases and average 3.25 stolen bases per game – both rank No. 1 in NCAA Division I.
 
As a team, JSU is batting .304 which ranks 11th nationally and first in the conference.
