JACKSON, Miss - A goal in the 22nd minute by Jana Heinen was the difference, as the Jackson State soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to UALR Tuesday afternoon at the JSU Soccer Complex to wrap up their five game homestand.

"I've had it with being in close matches without a result," head coach
Dr. Ted Flogaites said. "One day soon I hope our players believe in themselves as much as I believe in them."
Sophomore
Alexandria Dummar had a chance in the 77th minute, but the shot was wide left and Maya Thompson had one final chance in the 79th minute, but the shot was wide right. .
UALR had the advantage with 14 shots, including nine on goal. JSU recorded three shots with one on goal.
"From a match standpoint, I cannot believe we lost on that kind of awful goal and I'm also in shock we didn't get a penalty called for us because it was 100 percent a penalty but that's the game. We aren't interested in just being competitive, we want to win and we need to figure out how to do that," Flogaites added.
