JACKSON, Miss. – Chance Moore scored a team-high 16 points as Southern defeated Jackson State 75-64 in Southwestern Athletic Conference action.
 
Malachi Wideman scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds. Jayveous McKinnis added nine points and hauled in eight rebounds along with five blocks.
 
Jonas James also scored nine points and a game-high eight assists.
 
The Tigers shot the ball exceptionally well and converted 44 percent (22-for-50) of their shots.
 
SU shot 52.9 percent (27-for-51) from the floor.
