HUNTSVILLE, ALA. --The Jackson State volleyball team earned a three-set win (25-20, 25-23, 25-23) against the Alabama A&M Bulldogs Sunday on the road at Elmore Gymnasium.
The conference victory improved Jackson State's record to 8-13 overall and 7-2 in SWAC play.
Alexis Williams finished with 19 kills on the day to lead the Lady Tigers attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .455. got 13 digs from Alana Washington to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Tigers earned a set-one victory 25-20 powered by a strong performance on the attacking side. Jackson State registered a .321 attack percentage with 15 kills in the set victory. The Lady Tigers ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza.
SET 2 | Jackson State won set two 25-23 to quickly grab a 2-0 lead. The Lady Tigers scored first and never trailed in the set to earn the victory. Jackson State opened up as much as a five point lead at 5-0 before finishing off the set, collecting 16 kills in the process.
SET 3 | Jackson State finished off the match in a 3-0 sweep after grabbing the third set. The Lady Tigers persevered in a back-and-forth set to win 25-23 in a stanza that featured four lead changes and was tied 11 times. Neither team opened up a lead of more than three points along the way. The Jackson State offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
