PRAIRIE VIEW, Tex. – Jackson State University wrapped up competition here at the 2022 Southwestern Athletic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday, with the men's team finishing in sixth place and the women's team tabbing eighth.
In the women's division, JSU's
Hannah White was named Most Outstanding Women's Field Performer. During the three-day event, she finished first in the shot put (15.63m) and discus throw (49.51m) as well as fourth in the hammer throw (47.25).
For the men, the Tigers' 4x100 meter relay team earned SWAC All-Conference honors, as did
Jallah Galimah in the 1500-meter run and
Davieon Center in the shot put.
