A trio of Jackson State University men's basketball players participated in this weekend's National Basketball Players Association Top 50 Camp in Atlanta, Ga.
Returning JSU players
Ken Evans Jr. and
Gabe Watson, and newcomer Trace Young were selected for the three-day camp held at Clark Atlanta University.
First developed in 2017, the Top 50 Camp features a group of the best players from the Southwestern Athletic Conference and the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Modeled after the NBPA's Top 100 Camp, players at the Top 50 Camp received on-court skill instruction from current and retired NBA players and participated in leadership and personal development sessions off the court.
The Top 50 Camp also allowed players to showcase their talent against the best of their neighboring conference through highly competitive scrimmages and games.Â
