JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State women's soccer team recorded its first win against Jacksonville State Sunday afternoon at the JSU Soccer Field.
Kendyl Terrell scored the goal for the Tigers at the 80:12 mark in the second period.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-Jackson State's (1-3) Maya-Joy Thompson took a shot downfield 1:59 into the game. Bailey Dean recorded the first save for Jacksonville State.
-Thompson attempted to give the Tigers an advantage shooting again at the 14:37 mark
-JSU went on to shoot three more times with no luck before the half
-The Tigers entered the second half determined to walk away with the victory
-With ten minutes left in the game, Kendyl Terrell took her second shot of the half scoring the goal that sealed the victory for the Tigers
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
-Jackson State outshot the Gamecocks 11-2
-Kendyl Terrel score the goal for JSU and took two shots
-Kyla Sands recorded two shots including one on goal
-Maya-Joy Thompson registered three shots and one on goal

The Tigers continue their home stretch hosting the University of Louisiana at Monroe on Friday at the JSU Soccer Field. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
