The Jackson State University baseball program announces its 2023 schedule, a 50-game campaign with 25 home contests scheduled at Braddy Field.

Omar Johnson and the Tigers will open the season in Houston in the inaugural Houston Astros Cactus Jack HBCU Classic at Minute Maid Park Friday – Sunday, Feb. 17-19. JSU will face Southern Feb. 17, Miss. Valley St. Feb. 18, and Prairie View A&M Feb. 19 in non-conference matchups.
Jackson State will open the home schedule Tuesday, Feb. 21 hosting Southeastern La. at Braddy Field. The Tigers will then compete in the Major League Baseball Andre Dawson Classic in New Orleans, La. Feb. 24-26, with opponents to be announced.
JSU will host Arkansas Pine Bluff. Feb. 28, before hosting Tougaloo in a March 1 doubleheader. The Tigers will then play a three-game non-conference series at Alcorn (March 3-5), before a March 14 game at Louisiana Lafayette.
Jackson State will then open a seven-game homestand, beginning Southwestern Athletic Conference play with back-to-back home series against Alabama A&M (March 17-19) and Alabama State (March 24-26) before hosting Tougaloo (March 29).
After a SWAC weekend series at Miss. Valley St. (March 31-April 2), Jackson State will host New Orleans (April 4). The Tigers will then play an exhibition game April 5 against the Mississippi Braves at Smith-Wills Field. JSU will then host Florida A&M in a conference series (April 6-8), before completing the homestand against Rust (April 11).
Jackson State will then play a pair of conference series at Alabama St. (April 14-16) and Alabama A&M (April 21-23), sandwiched around a mid-week game at Southeastern La. (April 18). The Tigers will end April hosting a SWAC series against Bethune-Cookman (April 28-30).
JSU will open May with a five-game road trip at New Orleans (May 2), Florida A&M (May 5-7), and Arkansas Pine Bluff (May 10). The Tigers will conclude their home schedule against Miss. Valley St. (May 12-14) before ending the regular season at Bethune-Cookman (May 18-20).
The Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament is scheduled for May 24-28.
