PINE BLUFF, Ark.| The Jackson State volleyball team tallied a .446 hitting percentage on the way to a three-set victory (25-12, 25-9, 25-8) against the Alcorn State Lady Braves Sunday at HO Clemmons Arena.
The victory moved the Tigers' record to 7-7 overall and 3-1 in SWAC play.
Alexis Williams finished with eight kills on the day to lead the Lady Tigers offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .5.Williams also pitched in with six in the contest. got 8 digs from Williams to lead them defensively.

Jackson State opened up as much as a 16 point lead at 23-7 before closing out the set. The Lady Tigers hit .455 over the course of the set.
SET 3 | Jackson State took set three to sweep the match 3-0. The Tigers led from the opening point on in the set to earn a 25-8 victory. Jackson State opened up as much as a 17 point lead at 24-7 before finishing off the set. The Jackson State offense also got a boost from four aces in the stanza.

The Tigers ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza.
SET 2 | Jackson State won the second set 25-17 to promptly grab a 2-0 lead. The Tigers grabbed control of the set lead early on at 2-1 and held the lead the rest of the way. Jackson State opened its biggest lead of the stanza, eight points, to finish off the set, collecting 18 kills in the process.
SET 3 | Jackson State finished off the match in a 3-0 sweep after winning set three. The Tigers scored first and never trailed in the set to secure a 25-16 victory. Jackson State opened up as much as a 12 point lead at 24-12 before finishing off the set, collecting 16 kills in the process.
