Tigers Defeat Alabama A&M in SWAC Quarterfinals Matchup

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas| The Jackson State volleyball team stormed back after dropping the first set to secure a 3-1 victory (22-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-23) over Alabama A&M Friday to open the 2023 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Tournament.

The Tigers attack was paced by Hope Briggs, who finished with 17 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .444, and by Alexis Williams, who had 16 while hitting .333. got eight digs from Kymorah Carter along with seven blocks from Kyahana Robinson and five rejections from Jordan Jones to lead them defensively.
