Tallahassee, FL - The Jackson State Track and Field team closed out its indoor meet schedule at the Samford Bulldog Invitational. 

In the running events, the men's 60 meter dash, Shawn Collins finished in second place with a time of 6.71 seconds. Collins also finished in third place with a time of 21.39 seconds in the 200 meters for a new personal best.Callie Calicut finished in sixth place with a time of 25.46 seconds to mark her for a new personal best.During the Women's 60 meter hurdles, Erkyah Garrett finished fourth place with a time of 8.85 seconds. Jiya Clayton finished in fourth place with a time of 58.86 in the 400 meters. 

In field events, Ronald Huddleston finished second 1.80 meter in high jump. I'm the long jump, Jordyn Tiggs, finished in fourth place with a jump of 5.56 and  Sherman Hawkins Jr. finished in third place with a leap of 7.05 meters. Lilliann Dudley finished first place in the shot put with a measurement of 14.48 meters.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will return for their final regular indoor meet next week for the 2023 SWAC Indoor Championship hosted in Birmingham, AL at the Birmingham Crossplex facility on February 16th-17th.
