LAFAYETTE, La. - The Jackson State baseball team lost at Louisiana 7-0 Tuesday night at M.L. Tigue Moore Field.
The Tigers (12-3) saw their 10-game winning streak end, generating only two hits on the night.
Jackson State missed its best chance to score in the seventh, getting runners on second and third with no one out, but could not push across a run.
The Jackson State pitching staff allowed just four hits in the contest and held the Ragin Cajuns hitless over the final five innings.
Jackson State will open Southwestern Athletic Conference play at home Friday, hosting Alabama A&M at 6 p.m. at Braddy Field in game one of a three-game series.
