SEATTLE – Four Jackson State baseball players shined in Friday's Major League Baseball HBCU Swingman Classic All-Star game live on MLB Network.
Ty Hill and Erick Gonzalez were teammates on the American League team, which defeated the National League 4-3 at T-Mobile Park, home of the Seattle Mariners at the site of Tuesday's Major League Baseball's All-Star Game. Jatavis Melton and Jesse Caver played for the National League Team as 50 HBCU baseball's top prospects played in the inaugural game, spearheaded by baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr.
