JSU Advances to SWAC Semifinal Match with 3-0 Win Over Southern

GRAMBLING, La.| The Jackson State volleyball team secured a three-set win (25-18, 25-16, 25-15) over Southern Friday evening at Fredrick C. Hobdy Assembly Center to open the 2024 SWAC Tournament.

The non-conference victory boosted the Tigers' overall record to 18-10 on the season. JSU was led by a double-double from Jayden James, who registered 12 kills and 11 digs on the day. Alexis Williams also added 10 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Trinity Bryant chipped in for with 11 digs to go with two blocks from James.
