Eichelberger has 4 Hits in Tigers' 23-1 Win over Mississippi Valley

Itta Bena, MIss. --  Joseph Eichelberger had four hits to help lead the Jackson State baseball team past the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils 23-1 on Saturday night at Magnolia Field.

In addition to his four hits, Eichelberger had two walks and four RBIs to lead the Tigers (6-1). Davione Hull also put together a standout performance at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk, and five RBIs. Lenny Montesano also chipped in for Jackson State, putting together three hits in six trips to the plate while adding a home run and four RBIs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Tigers scored in seven different innings on their way to victory. Jackson State broke a 0-0 tie and took the lead for good at 1-0 in the first inning. The big hits for the Tigers in the inning were a grand slam off the bat of Hull and a two-run single from Eichelberger.
