HAMMOND, La. | Jackson State dropped a pair of games in a doubleheader on the road against Southeastern Louisiana, dropping the first game 8-1 and the second 4-2.
In the opener, the two teams battled through a weather delay with the Tigers having three players pick up multiple hits in the loss.
Meah Almaraz finished 2-for-4 while
Madison Perry finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and
Jalia Hubbard 2-for-3.
Sofia Gonzalez (3-5), the first of three pitchers used in the game, logged 3.0 innings in the start giving up a pair of runs on four hits.
In the nightcap, Jackson State (20-11) was held to just three hits, one by
Ka'Liyah Gipson,
Mari Stephens, and the other by
Beija Allen.
Victoria Salazar (9-5) suffered the loss, working 6.0 innings allowing four runs (two earned) on nine hits.

- (B1) Ka'Lyn Watson hit a solo home run to left center, Southeastern Louisiana 1-0.
- (T3) Madison Perry singled to center to score Gipson, 1-1.
- (B3) Lexi Johnson doubled down the left field line to score Maria Detillier, Southeastern Louisiana 2-1.
- (B4) Detillier hit a three-run home run to center, Southeastern Louisiana 5-1.
- (B6) Cam Goodman stole second allowing Colleen Kulivan to steal home before C Magee drove in a run with an RBI groundout to drive in a run before a throwing error led to another, Southeastern Louisiana 8-1.
How It Happened (Game 2)
- (B1) Watson scored on a double play, Southeastern Louisiana 1-0.
- (B2) Audrey Greely scored on a wild pitch, Southeastern Louisiana 2-0.
- (T3) Gipson singled through the left side on the 10th pitch of the at-bat to score Samiyyah Huckabee before Stephens scored on a throwing error, 2-2.
- (B4) Goodman recorded an RBI groundout, Southeastern Louisiana 3-2.
- (B6) Goodman recorded another RBI with an infield single, Southeastern Louisiana 4-2.
