KENNESAW, Ga.| The Jackson State soccer team closed out its non-conference schedule on the road at Kennesaw State Sunday afternoon. The Tigers fell 1-0 at Fifth Third Bank Stadium.
How it Happened
Kendyl Terrell took an early shot on the goal just 47 seconds into the match, but Charlee Bernal came up with the save in the bottom left corner of the goal. JSU kept Kennesaw State scoreless in the first half before giving up the lone goal after the half in the loss. Roughly one minute into the second half, Macie Rainwater scored the only goal of the match for the Owls. Rebecca Jamieson led Jackson State with seven saves. The Tigers totaled 11 shots in the loss, four of them on goal. Jackson State faced 16 Kennesaw St. shots, eight of them on goal.

The Tigers will open SWAC play at home on October 4 against Alabama A&M. Kick off is set for 3 p.m. at the JSU Soccer Field.
