CARBONDALE, Ill.| The Jackson State volleyball team could not out-play a dynamic Tigers offense Saturday losing to Memphis in three sets (14-25, 18-25, 23-25).
The non-conference loss moved Jackson State to 3-4 on the season.
Jayden James finished with 10 kills on the day to lead the Lady Tigers attack. got seven digs from Trinity Bryant to lead them defensively.

- JSU trailed by as many as seven points as Memphis grabbed the advantage for good at 12-11 in a set that was tied up seven times before the Tigers took over the lead.
- Jackson State could not win the third set and was swept by Memphis.
- The Tigers fell in a back-and-forth battle, losing 25-23 in a set that featured five lead changes and was tied seven times.
- Neither team had a lead of more than four points along the way.
