Jayden James turned in a career night, finishing with 24 kills on .568 hitting as the Jackson State volleyball team swept Arkansas–Pine Bluff 3–0 (25–19, 25–21, 25–13) Monday evening at H.O. Clemmons Arena.
Inside the Numbers
Jackson State dominated every phase of the match, posting a .298 team hitting percentage while holding the Golden Lions to just .090. JSU outpaced UAPB in kills (39–29), blocks (10–4), and digs (35–28) and scored 55 total points.
Jayden James was unstoppable on the outside, recording 24 kills, seven digs, two service aces, and two total blocks for a match-high 27.5 points.
Kamiera Watkins added a complete performance with three kills, three aces, and five total blocks, while
Kyra Dove chipped in three kills and three blocks.
Setter
Naija Gadis dished out 19 assists and added four digs, while
Karys Dove contributed 15 assists.
Ryleigh Davis,
Katejion Robinson, and
Cierra Gilbert combined for 11 kills and four total blocks to keep the offense balanced.

- Jayden James sparked a rally with back-to-back kills, part of a stretch where Jackson State won 13 of the next 17 points.
- Kamiera Watkins delivered two consecutive aces and added a pair of blocks as JSU surged ahead 14–8.
- UAPB trimmed the deficit late, but James's seventh kill and a closing block from Gilbert and Watkins sealed the set, 25–19.
- The Tigers hit .323 in the second frame and relied heavily on James, who tallied nine kills.
- JSU trailed 10–7 before a service run from Maya Reeves and three straight James kills gave them a 14–10 advantage.
- Ryleigh Davis and Kyra Dove added key blocks to slow UAPB's comeback attempt.
