BIRMINGHAM, Ala., | Lorine Jelagat and Malvin Boen each earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) weekly awards for their performances at the Nicholls XC Invitational last weekend, announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Jelagat finished fifth in the women's 5k with a time of 19:12.20. As a result of her performance, she earned both the Runner of the Week and Newcomer of the Week.

Boen finished the men's 4-mile with a sixth-place finish with a time of 21:35.40. The transfer from Texas A&M International earned Newcomer of the Week in his third competition as a Tiger.
