VERO BEACH, Fla. | Jackson State won its fourth consecutive game on Saturday, shutting out Prairie View A&M 14-0 in seven innings in the Andre Dawson Classic at the Jackie Robinson Training Facility.
The Tigers were held to nine hits with three players collecting multiple hits on the day, and they also reached base five times on hit-by-pitches and eight walks. Ledy Alvarez finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI, and recording a double while Arjun Huerta made his debut going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI and a home run. Meanwhile, Davione Hull finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
Jordan McCladdie and Joseph Eichelberger each picked up a hit and had a pair of RBI for Jackson State (4-1).
Eric Elliott (1-0) picked up the win working 5.0 innings and allowing just one hit and recorded seven strikeouts. CJ Lewis came out of the bullpen and worked the final two innings of scoreless relief in the win.

Perez reached on a muffed throw by 1b, assist by 3b (1-2 KSBF); Cabral advanced to third, out at home 1b to c; Eichelberger scored, unearned; Alvarez scored, unearned, Jackson State 7-0.
- 5th inning - Huerta homered down the rf line, RBI (0-0). McCladdie walked, RBI (3-0 BBBB); Brown advanced to second; Hull advanced to third; Harris scored. Alvarez singled to center field, RBI (0-1 K); McCladdie advanced to second; Brown advanced to third; Hull scored. Eichelberger flied out to cf, SF, RBI (0-0); Brown scored. Cabral grounded out to c, RBI (0-0); Alvarez advanced to third; McCladdie scored, Jackson State 12-0.
- 6th inning - Hull singled up the middle, RBI (2-1 BBF); Huerta scored, Jackson State 13-0.
- 7th inning - Shemar Harris advanced to second on a wild pitch; Huerta advanced to third on a wild pitch; Cabral scored on a wild pitch, Jackson State 14-0.
