VERO BEACH, Fla. | Jackson State dropped its final game of the Andre Dawson Classic on Sunday, falling to Alabama State 11-3 at the Jackie Robinson Training Facility.
Jackson State (4-2) was held to eight hits with a pair of players picking up multiple hits. Jordan McCladdie finished the day 2-for-5 and Arjun Huerta finished 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI on the day.
Brandon Haston (0-1) suffered the loss in his first start of the season working 5.0 innings. He allowed four runs (all unearned) on seven hits with seven strikeouts as the first of five pitchers used on the day for the Tigers.Â

- 6th inning - Cruz walked (3-2); Agosto advanced to third on a wild pitch; Landry scored on a wild pitch. Wilbert Espinal singled through the right side, RBI (1-2); Cruz advanced to second; Agosto scored, Alabama State 6-3.
- 7th inning - Cruz doubled down the lf line, 2 RBI (0-0); Agosto advanced to third; Landry scored; Fabian Santana scored, Alabama State 8-3.
