STARKVILLE, Miss. | Jackson State a midweek contest to Mississippi State 16-3 at Dudy Noble Field on Tuesday night, the first of two midweek games this week for the Tigers.
Tyshon Patty picked up a double in the top of the third inning to break up the no-hitter for the Bulldogs before Joseph Eichelberger reached on a one-out single in the top of the fourth inning. Patty reached again in the sixth inning with a lead-off walk before advancing to third on a Ledy Alvarez one-out single up the middle. He would come in to score on an Eichelberger single up the middle. The Tigers continued the inning with one-out double from Wilbert Perez to score Alvarez and Eichelberger.
Eichelberger finished 2-for-3 on the night for the Tigers and Perez finished 1-for-3 with a pair of RBI.
Erick Gonzalez (3-1) suffered the loss in a rare midweek start working just 1.0 inning and he allowed seven runs on six hits with one walk. Caleb Gallant came on in relief and worked 2.1 innings allowing four runs on two hits with a strikeout, before giving way to Miles Thomas in the fourth inning. He last two innings before giving way to Corey Richardson in the bottom of the sixth.Â

Dylan Cupp singled up the middle, 2 RBI (3-2 BKFBBF); Sanders scored; Stevens scored, Mississippi State 7-0.
- 2nd inning - Stallman advanced to third; Chance scored on a wild pitch. Sullivan singled to left field, RBI (2-2 KKBBF); Stallman scored, Mississippi State 9-0.
- 4th inning - Joe Powell homered to left field, 3 RBI (0-0); Sanders scored, Sullivan scored, Mississippi State 12-0.
- 5th inning - Steven Spalitta walked, RBI (3-2 KBBBKB); Nate Chester advanced to second; Nolan Stevens advanced to third; Aaron Downs scored, Mississippi State 13-0.
- 6th inning - Eichelberger singled up the middle, RBI (1-1 SB); Alvarez advanced to second; Patty, T. scored. Perez doubled to right center, 2 RBI (0-0); Eichelberger scored; Alvarez, L. scored., Mississippi State 13-3.
- 6th inning - Landis Davila singled through the right side, RBI (1-2 BSK); Michael O'Brien advanced to third; Sawyer Reeves scored. Gehrig Frei doubled down the lf line, RBI (1-1 BS); Davila advanced to third; O'Brien scored. Nate Chester advanced to second; Frei advanced to third; Davila scored on a passed ball, unearned, Mississippi State 16-3.
