NEW ORLEANS, La. | Jackson State dropped a 16-10 non-conference to New Orleans at Maestri Field on a windy and cold Wednesday night.

Jackson State (9-3) collected nine hits led by Pierre Cabral finishing 3-for-6 with a run scored and Joseph Eichelberger finished for 2-for-5 with a run scored and a pair of RBI. Jordan McCladdie drove in three runs and scored three others, collecting a triple.

Nkosi Didder (1-2) suffered the loss out of the bullpen working 1.1 innings and allowing six runs (five earned) on a pair of hits. He walked three and struck out. Carson Foster, the first of five pitchers, got his first collegiate start working one inning.

How it Happened 

• 1st inning - Eichelberger doubled to center field, RBI (3-2 BFKBB); McCladdie scored. Cabral reached on a throwing error by ss (2-2 KBKBF); Eichelberger scored, unearned, Jackson State 2-0.
• 1st inning - Adrian Dominguez walked (3-2 BFBBSBB); Bryce Calloway advanced to third; Matt Gonzalez scored on a wild pitch. Anthony Ruiz grounded out to 2b, RBI (0-0); Dominguez advanced to second; Calloway scored, 2-2.
• 2nd inning - Ledy Alvarez singled through the left side, RBI (2-2 BFFFB); Silas Moore advanced to third; Hederick Torres scored. McCladdie reached on a fielder's choice, RBI (1-1 KB); Alvarez out on the play, out at second ss to 2b; Moore scored. McCladdie stole third, scored on a wild pitch, Jackson State 5-2.
• 2nd inning - Dalton Hurst doubled to right center, 2 RBI (2-1 BFB); Collin Loupe scored; Payton Boines scored. Alexander Saunier homered to right field, 2 RBI (2-2 FBSB); Hurst scored. Dominguez grounded into double play ss to 2b to 1b (0-0); Calloway out on the play; Xavier Rivera scored, unearned, New Orleans 7-5.
• 3rd inning - Saunier singled to right field, RBI (0-0); Hurst advanced to second; Boines advanced to third; Marco Mueses scored. Calloway singled to left field, 2 RBI (0-0); Saunier advanced to second; Hurst scored; Boines scored, New Orleans 10-5.
• 5th inning - Shemar Harris scored on a wild pitch. McCladdie tripled down the rf line, 2 RBI (0-0); Alvarez scored, unearned; Moore scored, unearned. Eichelberger singled to left field, RBI (1-2 BSF); McCladdie scored, unearned, New Orleans 10-9.
• 6th inning - Jahlani Rogers advanced to second; Ruiz advanced to third; Calloway scored on a wild pitch. Boines flied out to cf, SF, RBI (3-2 BKFBBF); Rogers advanced to third; Ruiz scored, New Orleans 12-9.
• 7th inning - Calloway homered to right field, 3 RBI (2-1 BBK); Saunier scored; Hurst scored. Dominguez homered to right field, RBI (1-0 B). New Orleans 16-9.
• 8th inning - Bryce Benton singled to right field, RBI (2-2 KBSB); Harris advanced to second; Cabral scored, Jackson State 16-10.
