JSU Falls at Middle Tennessee

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.| The Jackson State soccer team dropped a 3–0 decision at Middle Tennessee on Sunday afternoon at Dean A. Hayes Track and Soccer Stadium.

The Blue Raiders (2–0) wasted little time, striking twice in the opening 15 minutes. MTSU's Emma Pettersen opened the scoring in the eighth minute, and Alli Craig followed in the 14th with her first of two goals on the day. Craig later added a second tally in the 60th minute off a pass from Idun Kvaale to seal the result.

Jackson State (0–2) struggled to generate offense, managing just one shot on target, a late effort by Josetiarainnah Olaco in the 88th minute that was stopped by MTSU goalkeeper Ella Sellers, who earned the shutout.

JSU's goalkeeper Valentina Goodloe kept the Tigers within reach, finishing with 10 saves against 19 shots faced.

The Tigers were whistled for three yellow cards in the match, while MTSU collected one.
