Montgomery, Ala.| Forward Caylah Williams scored twice to lead the Jackson State soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Alabama State on Sunday afternoon at the ASU Soccer Complex.
Jackson State (3–5–2, 2–0–0 SWAC) struck early, taking a 1–0 lead in the 5th minute when Williams finished a cross from Kyla Gomez at the far post.
Williams doubled her tally in the 54th minute, slotting home after a setup from defender Sarah Portis.
Defensively, JSU stood strong as goalkeeper Taylor Osborn made four saves to secure her second consecutive shutout in conference play. The back line anchored by Portis, Kianah Farmer, and Makayla Sturkey kept the Hornets' 14 shots off the board.

- Williams opens the scoring on a cross from Gomez, giving JSU a 1–0 lead at 4:36 in the first half.
- Alabama State earned a corner and registers two shots, both stopped by Osborn in the ninth and tenth minute.
- Gomez tested the keeper from close range before Alayla Jackson fired wide left near the 21-minute mark.
- Osborn registered a key save on ASU's McKinley Hacker to preserve the halftime advantage at 39:58.
- Williams doubles JSU's lead, finishing off a feed from Portis at 53:29 in the second half.
- Gomez and Jaelyn Greer each test ASU's keeper Kailyn Roselli, who tallied three saves.
- In the final minutes, Osborn denies Jordan Williams and Queenster Mensah to complete the clean sheet and aid in the Tigers victory.
