AUBURN, Ala. | The Jackson State volleyball team put up a fight in each set but could not slow down Auburn's attack, falling 3–0 (18–25, 21–25, 14–25) Friday evening inside Neville Arena.
Auburn (4–1) controlled the match from the service line, tallying 10 aces and forcing JSU out of rhythm. Jackson State (0–4) stayed competitive early, especially in the second set with nine ties and two lead changes, but Auburn's balance at the net and depth proved too much.
Inside the Numbers
- Jayden James led JSU with 11 kills and nine digs for 11 points.
- Hope Briggs chipped in eight kills, hitting .333, along with two blocks.
- Makenzie Washington provided a spark with three kills and two blocks in limited action.
- Karys Dove paced the offense with 17 assists, while Kymorah Carter and James anchored the defense with a combined 14 digs.
- At the net, Kyra Dove contributed three block assists, and the Tigers finished with nine team blocks.
