BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Sedgwrick Pitts Jr. was named Track Athlete of the Week by the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) office on Wednesday afternoon for his performance last weekend at the UAB Blazer Invitational.
Pitts Jr. won the 200m dash with a time of 21.14. His time is currently fourth in HBCU rankings, ninth in Division 1 rankings, and 11th in NCAA rankings.

The Tigers return to Birmingham next week for the Samford Invite and Samford Open on Jan. 16-17.
