JACKSON, Miss. | The Jackson State University Division of Athletics and head coach Omar Johnson released the 2026 schedule that features 10 home series and eight other games inside the state of Mississippi.
The Tigers open the season with three games at Trustmark Park in Pearl (Miss.), beginning with the season opener against Prairie View A&M on Feb. 13. They will finish up the weekend with games against Alabama A&M (Feb. 14) and Alcorn State (Feb. 15) before a road game at Ole Miss on Feb. 18. The Tigers continue their road swing in Vero Beach (Fla.) on Feb. 20 against Texas Southern, followed by games against Yale (Feb. 21) and Grambling State (Feb. 22).
Jackson State returns to Braddy Field for the first time in 2026 against Tougaloo in a doubleheader on Feb. 24 before closing out February, and beginning March, with a four-game series against UNC Asheville beginning on Feb. 27 and running through March 1 - with a doubleheader scheduled for Feb. 28. Following that series, the Tigers will hit the road for a nine-game road swing beginning with New Orleans on March 3. They will also travel to Seattle (March 6-8), Nicholls (March 10), Texas Southern (March 13-15), and Mississippi State (March 17) before returning home for a four-game home stand. The home stand includes a three-game series with Prairie View A&M (March 20-22) and New Orleans (March 24).
The Tigers close out the month of March on the road at defending conference champion Bethune-Cookman (March 27-29) before a single game against Tougaloo at home on April 7. The game against Tougaloo starts an eight-game home stand featuring conference series against Florida A&M (April 10-12) and Alabama State (April 17-19), before a single non-conference game against Nicholls on April 21.
Jackson State closes ou the month of April on the road at Alabama A&M (April 24-26), and return home for a three-game series against Alcorn State (May 1-3). Following a non-conference game in Baton Rouge (La.) against Southern (May 5), Jackson closes out the regular season with a three-game road series at Mississippi Valley State (May 8-10) and home series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (May 14-16).
The conference tournament is slated for May 20-25 in Birmingham (Ala.).
