BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Dalon Harris and Malayna Mallory were named weekly award winners by the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) office on Wednesday afternoon for their performances last weekend at the Samford Bulldog Open.

Harris claimed his first Field Performer of the Week honor after winning the men's shot put, throwing for a distance of 15.48m.

Mallory was named both Women's Field and Newcomer of the Week after setting a new personal best in the weight throw with a distance of 16.48m, which placed her in second amongst all competitors. She also placed fifth in shot put with a throw of 11.78m.
