JACKSON, Miss. | Jackson State fell to New Orleans, 7-0, in a non-conference contest at Braddy Field on Tuesday night in its only midweek game of the week.
Jackson State (12-14) was held to six hits with Wilbert Perez leading the way finishing 2-for-4, with four other players picking up hit; while Hederick Torres reached base two times on walks. Trae Burton (0-3), the second of seven pitchers, suffered the loss working 1.0 in relief and allowed just one run on one hit. Meanwhile, Manuel Toro started the contest and logged 3.0 scoreless innings allowing one hit and striking out two.
