JACKSON, Miss.| The Jackson State women's basketball team held Mississippi Valley State to just 16.7 percent from deep in a 3-for-18 shooting performance, but fell 66-50 to the Dekta Devilettes at home Thursday in its regular season finale.
The Tigers had two players score in double figures, led by Jada Patton, who had 16 points and six rebounds. Angel Wilkinson added 10 points and Jaileyah Cotton added five points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Pierre-Noelle Tcheuhchoua pulled down seven offensive rebounds to lead an offense that racked up second chance opportunities for Jackson State, grabbing 20 boards and turning them into 11 second chance points.
Jackson State did a great job disrupting Mississippi Valley State shots in the contest, coming away with five blocks. Tcheuhchoua led the way individually for the Lady Tigers with one rejection.

- Jackson State (12-18, 10-8 SWAC) entered the second quarter tied at 12-12 after a tightly contested first period.
- JSU relied on its three-point shooting in the period, knocking down two shots to account for six of its 12 points.
- Mississippi Valley State then took a 19-16 lead before the Tigers responded by going on a 5-0 run, highlighted by a bucket from Patton, to take a 21-19 lead.
- The Delta Devilettes cut into that lead, but JSU still enjoyed a 24-23 advantage heading into halftime.
- Jackson State was strong from deep in the period, knocking down two three-point shots to account for six of its 12 points.
- JSU lost its advantage in the third quarter and trailed the Delta Devilettes 45-34 entering the fourth.
- Jackson State's bench made the most of its minutes in the period, as non-starters totaled four of the team's 10 third-quarter points.
- MVSU kept widening its lead in the fourth, constructing a 53-40 advantage before Jackson State went on a 5-0 run, finished off by Patton's three, to shrink the deficit to 53-45 with 5:14 to go in the contest.
- Mississippi Valley State responded and outscored the Tigers the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 66-50.
