JACKSON, Miss. | Tyree Reed turned in a career day with three home runs and five runs batted in, but it wasn't enough to overcome a big sixth inning from Florida A&M as the Tigers dropped the series, falling 23-8 in Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) play on Sunday afternoon.
Reed hit a solo home run to right in his first at-bat, before hitting a solo home run in his second at-bat in the third inning. He followed that up with a two-run home run down the right field line in the fourth inning for his third of the day. He also added an RBI single in the fifth to finish the day 4-for-4 with three runs scored and five RBI. Tyshon Patty was the lone Tiger to join Reed with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI.
