BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Jackson State senior Gokalp Ayar earned a Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Second Team All-Conference honor Thursday night prior to the opening of the conference tournament.

Ayar, the lone representative of the men's tennis team on the all-conference teams, finished his final season with the Tigers with a 3-1 singles record against SWAC opponents at number three and a 5-5 record overall. Against the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils, Ayar blanked his opponent to clinch the Tigers' second win of the season. He was also part of an 8-4 doubles team alongside Fabrizio, including a 2-1 conference record.
