ATLANTA, Ga. | Sedgwrick Pitts Jr., a standout sprinter,
Jordin Smith, a skilled high jumper, and
Kaiden Berry, a powerful shot putter, highlighted the Jackson State Tigers track and field teams' performances at the Georgia Tech Invitational over the weekend.
Pitts Jr. finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.63. He also placed in the top 10 in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 10.56.
Smith placed second in the high jump event, clearing and setting two new personal bests, 2.00 and 2.06 meters on the day.
Berry placed second in shot put with a throw of 16.94 meters.
On the women's side, sophomore
Gabrielle Langford also set a new personal best in the 200-meter dash.
