BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | Sedgwrick Pitts Jr., Jordin Smith, and Rickey Green III were named weekly award winners by the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) office on Friday afternoon for their performances last weekend at the Georgia Tech Invitational.

Pitts Jr. earned his fourth Track Athlete of the Week honor after finishing second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.63. He also placed in the top 10 in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at 10.56.

Smith was named Co-Field Athlete of the Week as he placed second in the high jump event, clearing and setting two new personal bests, 2.00 and 2.06 meters on the day.

Green III placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.40. The Inderkum, Calif. native was named SWAC Newcomer of the Week for his efforts and continues to record impressive times in his first collegiate season.
