HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | Jackson State fell in game two of its Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) series to Alabama A&M, 11-6 at Bulldog Field on Saturday afternoon.
Jackson State (18-23, 8-12 SWAC) led early after a RBI single by Tyree Reed and a two-run double by Edwin Lemus Hudson Jr. in the top of the third inning to grab a 3-1 lead. However, Alabama A&M hit four home runs the remainder of the game, including a grand slam in the bottom half of the third inning, to pull away from Jackson State.
Robert Tate Jr. led the Tigers at the plate, finishing 2-for-5 with a run scored, while Diego Melendez finished 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and runs scored. Reed also collected a pair of hits, finished 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, and Hudson also picked up a pair of hits finishing 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.
Jayden Lopez (4-3) suffered the loss for the Tigers working 6.1 innings in the start, allowing eight runs on seven hits with four strikeouts.

- 7th inning (bottom) - Tervell Johnson homered, RBI (0-0). Murray flied out to cf, SAC, RBI (0-2 KKF); Jackson scored; Alabama A&M 8-4.
- 8th inning (top) - Tyshon Patty grounded into double play ss to 1b (2-1 BBK); Torres out on the play; Melendez advanced to third; Hudson scored. Shemar Harris singled to center field, RBI (2-2 KFBBFF); Melendez scored; Alabama A&M 8-6.
- 8th inning (bottom) - Keondre Fields homered, 2 RBI (0-0); Anderson scored. Jackson flied out to lf, SAC, RBI (3-2 BKSBBFF); Stanfield scored.; Alabama A&M 11-6.
