BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) released the tournament seedings and bracket on Saturday night, with Jackson State earning the seventh seed after a series win this week.

Jackson State (25-25, 16-14 SWAC) will face No. 2 seed Southern in the opening round on Wednesday, May 20 with a 3 p.m. first pitch in the top bracket. They will be joined by No. 3 seed Florida A&M and No. 6 seed Texas Southern who will play the opening game of the tournament at 9 a.m. at historic Rickwood Field. The bottom bracket features No. 1 seed Bethune-Cookman facing No. 8 seed Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and No. 4 seed Alabama State facing No. 5 seed Grambling State.
