CLINTON, Miss. – The Jackson State men's and women's cross-country teams competed at the Watson Collegiate Invitational Saturday morning from Choctaw Trails.
The men's team (8K) placed 12
th overall with a total time of 2:23:28 and the women's squad (6K) placed 13
th time a total team time of 2:17:56.
On the men's side,
Tyler Duncan finished 15
th with a mark of 26:13.7 and
Brian Koringo placed 17
th with a time of 26:19.3.
Also racing for the Tigers were Stephen Korir,
Patrick Pettaway,
Caleb Crutcher, and
Shafi Muhammad.
In women's action, Mercy Chebil finished 13
th with a time of 23:40.9 and
Mercy Chebet placed 45
th with a mark of 25:46.9.
Also competing for the Lady Tigers were
Taylor Hayes,
Tatyana Quinonez, and
Jalecia Johnson.
JSU gears up for the SWAC Cross Country Championship which is set for Monday, October 18 at Choctaw Trails.
