CLINTON, Miss.| The Jackson State University men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Watson Cross Country Classic hosted by Mississippi College. The Tigers finished among the top finishers, and the men's team placed third overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The men opened the meet with the 8000 M run
-Tyler Duncan finished in 17th place with a time of 25:57.10
-Jallah Galimah followed in right behind him in 18th place with a time of 26:07.20
-Marquentin Barnes came in 22nd recording a time of 26:18.30
-Raekwon Hopkins registered a time of 27:41.00 placing 39th
-With a time of 28:56.50, Jeremiah Hudson finished 56th for the Tigers
-Caleb Crutcher completed the race with a time of 29:59.60
-Jackson Tyler came across the finished line with a time of 31:35.90
-In the women's 6K, Joan Kiplagat placed 17th with a finishing time of 24:33.80
-Amara Hawkins-Quinones landed 36th with a time of 26:28.70
-Taylor Watkins finished 44th with a time of 27:27.00
-The men's team finished third overall with a score of 96
UP NEXT
The men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to compete in the Crimson Classic hosted by Alabama on October 14. The meet will begin at 8:30 a.m.
