BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The Southwestern Athletic Conference has announced its 2021 SWAC Men's Tennis Tournament seedings.
2021 SWAC Regular Season Champion Alabama State enters the tournament as the #1 seed (5-0 SWAC) after concluding league play with an undefeated record. Alabama A&M enters the tournament as the #2 seed (4-1 SWAC).
Alcorn State claimed the #3 seed (2-3 SWAC) in the tournament, followed by #4 seed Jackson State (2-3 SWAC). Prairie View A&M is the #5 seed (2-3 SWAC), followed by #6 seed Mississippi Valley State (0-5 SWAC).
Alcorn State, Jackson State and Prairie View A&M finished the season with identical records in league competition. The league's seedings tie-breaker policy was used to determine final rankings going into the tournament.
The 2021 SWAC Men's Tennis Tournament is slated to be played on April 16-18 at the Pepsi Tennis Center in New Orleans, La.
