HUNTSVILLE, Ala. | The Jackson State duo of
Ching Chang Chiu and
Hung-Yu Chen won their quarterfinal match to advance to the semifinal round of the SWAC Fall Tournament.
Chiu and Chen started the tournament in the quarterfinals against Southern's Mpho Leshoele and Lwazi Ngwenya. Chiu and Chen defeated Leshoele and Ngwenya in an 8-3 decision to send them to the semifinals.
Waiting for them was the team of Vid Maric and Gordan F. Mileusnic from Alabama State. Chiu and Chen fought hard but ultimately fell 8-4, ending their run in the tournament.
