""Look I'm delighted that we are back in the semifinals after COVID and so much adversity that we've dealt with as a team. Everything we've been talking about as a team but never fully put together, we put together today. Our finishing was lethal for the first time all season, and the passing and energy were high level. It's a great team win and am also happy for Zigi, Maya and Sanchez, who scored their first goals of the season today. Picon's two goals helped us immensely, Syd's penalty and Ana's goal also huge. It's the best we've played all season, and now we have to recover quickly to take on Alabama State. I thought our players gave everything for the jersey today and that's all we can ask" said
Dr. Ted Flogaites following the Lady Tigers big win.
The Lady Tigers improve to 6-3 overall on the season and will take on No. 1 seeded Alabama State tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m. CST in Prairie View, Texas for the SWAC Semifinal round.Â
