JSU Rolls Past PVAMU and Improves to 4-0 in SWAC Play

Box Score JACKSON, Miss. -- Jackson State outscored Prairie View A&M 29-8 in the second quarter en route to a dominating 87-52 win. It's the Lady Tigers 21st straight win at home.
 
Reigning SWAC Player of the Year Dayzsha Rogan scored a game-high 21 points on 9-for-17 shooting from the field. Rogan also played great defense and recorded a game-high six steals. =
 
All-American candidate and WNBA prospect Ameshya Williams-Holliday drooped 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to post the double-double.
 
Daja Woodard scored 12 points on 7-for-10 shooting from the field and hauled in seven rebounds.
 
JSU (6-6, 4-0 SWAC) dominated in front the basket and outrebounded PVAMU 45-28 and 42-20 in points in the paint. The Lady Tigers' bench also scored 31 points.
 
As a team, JSU used an efficient offense and shot 47.8 percent (33-for-69) from the field, while holding PVAMU (5-11, 2-3 SWAC) to 30.8 percent (20-for-65).
 
JSU returns to action Monday and host Texas Southern at 3 p.m.
